1 Jarvis — Studio JCI

Toronto architecture studio Studio JCI commissioned me to photograph one of their newest projects 1 Jarvis in Hamilton Ontario. The objective for this shoot was to capture the exterior massing and window grouping patterns in various lighting conditions from sun rise to twilight.

“Downtown Hamilton is undergoing an immense transformation which include redevelopments to the waterfront and a new entertainment hub on the horizon. 1 Jarvis heralds this massive change, weaving the old with the new.

This 15 storey building offers 354 residential units, at grade retail, a variety of amenities including a fitness centre, and a co-working lounge. An elegant 5 storey, brick podium firmly grounds the building while the crisp, contemporary lines of the glass-clad floors above offer sweeping views of Downtown Hamilton. The masonry podium articulated with large, repetitive openings, speaks to the character of the existing neighborhood while animating the street.”
